How UFOs jump light-years
First, why do I assume that UFOs are interstellar spacecraft, rather than
some natural phenomenon, psychic phenomenon, or visitors from the future
or some other dimension?
Living creatures display animacy. Natural phenomena follow simple
natural laws. For instance, meteors never hover, or travel soundlessly
parallel to the ground. Nor do they land and disgorge inhabitants. We
do not know if it is possible to travel through time or to other
dimensions. We do not even know if the future or other dimensions exist.
But we do know it is possible to travel through space.
And we can be pretty sure that many G singlets will have an M planet
with a large moon in a stable orbit in the comfort zone, where water is
usually liquid. How do we know that? From the dynamics of the formation
of stellar formation. But how can we be sure that such planets will
develop intelligent life-forms after 4.6 to 5 billion years or so?
Because evolution is everywhere pretty much the same. How do we know
that? The aliens themselves demonstrate that because they are all
humanoid, i.e. bipedal, bilateral, binocular, with a head on a stalk, 1
pair each of legs and arms, eyes above nostrils above mouth.
It is easy to prove that the UFOs do not travel in rockets or any other
kind of propulsion known to physics. With known technology, trips to the
stars we can see in the sky with the naked eye would take anywhere from
30,000 to millions of years to make the trip. But what about unknown
technology? What about unknown physics? Physicists don't know
everything, do they? According to Stephen Hawking, discoverer of one
kind of black hole radiation, they do...almost. The only thing missing
is a theory of quantum gravity. It is very likely that the theory of
Super-Symetric Strings (SSS) will get rid of the singularities that
plague QED and QCD and unite physics sometime in the next few decades.
And there is nothing in fact or theory to give any hope to Star Trek fans,
who expect physicists to pull a warp drive engine out of their hats. It
will never happen. Scientists know this, because they pay attention to
the numbers, and that is why they are so sceptical about UFOs.
By the way, there is one thing (only one thing) which Star Trek has right,
and that is the Prime Directive: "thou shalt not change the course of
evolution on other planets." And this is surely why bug-eyed aliens in
flying saucers do not land on the white house lawn and say "Take me to
your leader." Most of the 30-40 species that visit us take pains to
disguise their craft, and make human contact only in remote, almost
uninhabited places. The aliens are anthropologists. Admittedly, the bug-
eyed species tend to treat us the way we treat chimps, possibly because
of the way we treat chimps, but even they induce amnesia, and have never
been known to deliberately harm anyone. They do so inadvertently.
The UFOs can't get here by physics; yet they are here. Paradox? No, it
simply means they travel by psychic powers rather than physical powers.
They may be masters of technology as well. The only known phenomenon
which resembles a jump over light-years is the apportation phenomenon
sometimes observed in poltergeist cases. Poltergeist phenomena is caused
unconsciously by a repressed adolescent in the family. Haunts are a
different kettle of fish. In any case, Hans Bender (a German poltergeist
investigator) has personally witnessed apportation along with levitation
in poltergeist cases. Apportation is when an object disappears in one
place in space-time and reappears somewhen/where else.
An interesting fact, not widely reported in the popular press is that an
object that reappears after apportation flutters like a leaf as it only
gradually recovers its normal mass. The same falling leaf phenomenon has
been observed of flying saucers which suddenly appear. This too is not
widely known.
Comments anyone? I invite constructive criticism by knowledgable students
of both UFOs and Psychical Research.
